Due to the current health crisis, the Puget Sound Premier League has created new policies and procedures for the 2020 Tryout.
FC Edmonds will be compliant with these specific rules and procedures outlined below.
Re-Sign Current Players:
The "Re-Signing" period will begin on May 1st and end on May 15th at 11:59 PM.
Coaches will have the opportunity to re-sign their current players during this window.
Player Cuts during the Re-Sign are discouraged.
Roster spots are not guaranteed and are based on roster needs for the specific birth year coach.
Coaches may offer the player to be a "Training Player".
The Registration Fee will be waived during the Open Try-Out window.
It is permitted to sign players who do not play in the PSPL during the re-signing window. These players may contact Director of Coaching Ryan Camden - [email protected]
Returning Players will still need to register even if on Official Roster last season. Please see Registration Link below and be sure to register for the correct birth year.
Open Try-Out Period:
The Open Try-Out period will begin on May 18th and end on August 16th at 11:59 PM.
During this time, Coaches can recruit all players who did not re-sign.
All unsigned players will be considered free agents and can work out and sign with any club.
The Open Try-Outs will be completed virtually. The Director of Coaching and FC Edmonds Coaches will work together to discuss players and place players on teams accordingly.
New players to the club will be tentatively placed as "Training Players" in order to be properly evaluated and placed once we receive clearance for physical play. Before these players are offered an Official Roster Spot, a physical tryout will need to take place, which will be the final step of the evaluation process. This also includes FCE's newest teams, G2010 & B2010.
The Registration Fee will be waived during the Open Try-Out window.
If offered a spot with the Club, more communication will be given at a later date with how to register for the particular team.
