GIRLS U18 - HISTORY

he 2008/2009 Girls U-19 squad, nicknamed "Ambush", has seen significant success since their initial voyage into the world of Select and Premier soccer.  For the 2025 and 2026 seasons, Ambush has won the WPL's National Premier League.  Achieving this feat qualifies us to compete for the national championship of the NPL in Denver.  In 2025, Ambush finished as a semi-finalist, ultimately falling to a Minnesota club who won the National Championship.  The summer of 2026 will have us taking another trip to Denver where we hope to be our club's first National Champion!

In 2027, we anticipate a very strong returning group of around 10-13 players.  Ambush is looking for competitive players to join our family.  We have fun but challenge each other to reach new heights of success.  Our ultimate goal through competition is to win the National Championships.  Doing that requires the team to work on their individual skills, strength, nutrition, and recovery.  Most importantly, it requires each player to become part of a unified team.  "Ambush" is what they call a group of Tigers.  To beat FC Edmonds 08/09 squad, you'll have to beat us all!

On the field, we value a possession style of play utilizing wing attacks, crosses into the box, and a stingy defense to make scoring on us incredibly difficult.  We have numerous elite talent from throughout the local area, including North Seattle, Bothell, Edmonds, Lynnwood, and Everett.

FC Edmonds Girls 08-09 is a proud member of the Washington Premier League.
