Sno-King Soccer Club 2008

  Sno-King Soccer Club offers Recreation and District-Select soccer for children Under11 - Under19. These age groups, while they play through Sno-King, are officially playing for the State of Washington/the Washington State Youth Soccer Association (WSYSA), thereby submitting to WSYSA rules and regulations. Sno-King plays no role in the decision making process regarding these rules and regulations which are subject to change year to year. Sno-King Soccer Club is part of the North County inter-tie, a travel rec. league. Teams play five home games here in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area and five away games in the cities/towns of the other teams in the inter-tie. The teams in this inter-tie are: Marysville, Mukilteo, Lake Stevens, Sky River, Silver Lake, Granite Falls, Terrace-Brier, Snohomish, Everett, Irish, Arlington, & South Whidbey Island. It is sometimes possible that Sno-King teams will play each other during their seasons.

**We must place all soccer players by age rather then grade, per WSYSA rules and regulations.

2008-2009 WSYSA Age Bracket

 * Registration begins May 7th for returning & transfer players. Returning Players are defined as players who played the previous fall season ('07). Transfer Players are also players who played in Fall '07, but wish to transfer to a different team this fall. We are not accepting any registrations May 28th. Open registration begins May 29th for new players. Practice beings the week of August 11^th. Regular season games begin the weekend of September 6th. These age groups practice twice/week for 1 ½ hours--one lit field and one non-lit field. Registration can be done online or in person. We do not accept faxed or emailed registrations and do not encourage mailed in registrations. Learn more about our registration process here.

 * In order for a player to compete through any club at this level in the state of Washington under WSYSA rules and regulations as a Recreation or District team, he/she must turn in a Player Application each year and have a copy of their birth certificate (or valid passport) on file at their club’s office. Once a birth certificate is turned in, Sno-King keeps it on file for the duration of the player’s age eligibility to play through our club and if the player stays with us year to year. If a player skips years of playing through our club, we may need to re-receive this piece of paperwork.

Fall 2008 Registration Fees:

District soccer runs along-side our Recreation Soccer program. It is a step more competitive than Recreation, which is the main level of play Sno-King Youth & Soccer Club offers. District, however, may hold try-outs and can be a year-round commitment, though a step less competitive and different than PDL/premier league. District soccer is also far cheaper than what you will pay at premier or strictly Select clubs. This is a good track for players who are not yet ready or interested in premier, but seeking a more challenging level than recreation. Sno-King offers this from U11 and up, however there are not always teams available in every, consecutive age group. Please email sandy@skyc.net for details.
